Love white burgundy but can't stand spending $50+ a bottle? Us too! If there is one name in Burgundy synonymous with superlative, long-lasting Chablis then it is undoubtedly William Fevre. We love his high elevation projects, so when we heard he made an elegant, Burgundian style Chardonnay from clones he imported to Chile 25 years ago, we quickly purchased every case he had coming to the US. The cool coastal winds that blow in from the Pacific Ocean toward the Andes Mountains pair up with a moderating climate to allow the grapes to ripen slowly, which intensifies the flavors while allowing both elegance and freshness in their white wines. Vibrant aromas of citrus, apples, and vanilla with a creamy medium-bodied palate, and toasty oak flavors balanced by crisp acidity. Amazing for the price!
"Nice, sour-cream overlay to the green-apple and lemon-zest character. Full of flavors on the palate with mineral, almost salty character. Crisp and quite refreshing. Well balanced. Drink now." James Suckling, 92 Points
